Located in Truckee, CA, Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area is committed to being "The place for family fun and learning." Wide-open bowls, uncrowded slopes, great beginner terrain, excellent grooming, and a friendly, courteous staff await you. Our size allows us to deliver that personal touch that the larger ski areas can't always provide.
The Tahoe Donner Ski Patrol is dedicated to delivering quality first-responder services to guests of the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski area as a supplement to paid staff. If you want to master first aid, the Tahoe Donner Patrol is the place to do it. Our members include experienced first-aiders, local professionals, medical professionals, and emergency first responders. We provide excellent first aid and guest services, while having fun and enjoying a little skiing at the same time. Tahoe Donner is famous for its family oriented atmosphere (not the vertical elevation and challenging slopes), so we tend to recruit great first-aiders who want a place to have their family learn to ski alongside them while patrolling.
The Tahoe Donner Ski Patrol is a proud member of the National Ski Patrol, a federally chartered, volunteer driven, nonprofit membership association established in 1938. The association's 27,500 members and 600 patrols represent 98 percent of the nation's paid and volunteer ski and snowboard patrollers.
The National Ski Patrol (NSP) is dedicated to serving the public and the mountain recreation industry by providing education services about emergency care and safety. The Tahoe Donner Volunteer Ski Patrol is part of the National Ski Patrol, acts on behalf of the NSP while in training capacities, and acts on behalf of Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area management while patrolling at the ski area.
